Funding Alert: Women Cosmetic And Beauty Fashion Band Raises Seed Funds Through Startup Seed Fund Scheme

O2 Nails operating as a boutique for Nail arts raises $75,000 seed fund through various investors and government seed fund scheme

O'2 Nails India, founded by Ms.Aparna S, is a fast growing women fashion retail company that provides nail care services has raised $75,000 from Atal Incubation Centre - BIMTECH, which is under Government of India's Startup India Initiative in a seed fund scheme, in form of debentures. Some marquee investors were also involved. In December 2021, it raised funds in a pre-seed round as well.

About the Company: O'2 Nails India is a retail fashion company that specialises on nail care. It is progressing at a very fast rate, reporting 5x growth YoY. As of now it has 10 botiques accross the length and breadth of the country. Nail extensions, color gels and selfie prints are some of its products.

About the Investors:

Apart from Atal Innovation Centre, angel investors including G Sowmya (Product Head – Google), Sanjay Vijayvargiya (Partner Mahindra Holiday) and Parul Aggarwal were also involved in funding.

Use of Funds:

  • O'2 Nails India will use these money in expanding its shop count and developing its technology progress offering with AR/AI concepts into their IoT based design offerings through which a fashionista can virtually search or create her own design with just tap on her phone.
  • They're also opening 10 new boutiques this quarter, bringing our total to 50 for the year, with 90% She Power, bringing their consumer base to 100,000 regular paid customers.
  • Their store's strength will allow them to break into the Indian nail care business and compete with global market and standards.

With this funding, O'2 Nails envisions to expand its operations to different parts of the country. Strong backing from Atal Innovation Centre can be the breakthrough it was looking for.
